• To establish third party drilling, well services and operations contracts, with a focus on risk and value, to ensure procedural compliance and the objectives and requirements of the client and company are met. 
• To determine and implement a range of contracting solutions and placement of the most cost effective third party contracts and amendments to existing contracts that protect and enhance the commercial and corporate requirements of the company.
• Project support in Engineering and Fabrication contracts will also feature.

• Establish and manage high value, high risk, third party services contracts to comply with approved processes and procedures.
• Ensure that contracts and purchasing activity effectively contributes to the profitability of the operation in addressing risk and value in all third party transactions.
• Ensure that each third party contracted requirement is executed in accordance with the highest standard of ethics and in compliance with client, company and statutory requirements.
• Support an environment where personnel can share knowledge, develop and learn and instil a culture of flexibility, innovation and willingness for continuous improvement.
• Constantly review contracting processes and leading edge expertise to ensure that wherever possible best practices are adopted and used.
• Ensure that all contracted third party activity is in full compliance with client and company requirements with respect to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.
• Promote commercial awareness with operational and user groups to obtain early involvement in the procurement process.
• Undertake tendering and contract negotiation exercises for third party contracted requirements to ensure procedural compliance and the commercial and legal integrity of the client and company is maintained.
• Support the appraisal and measurement of contractor performance.
• Maintain excellent communications with both internal users and third party contracting organisations and provide a professional, courteous and effective centre of expertise for all user procurement queries and requirements.
• Responsible for managing business relationships with key contractors and suppliers.
• Provide ad hoc support to other general contracts as required.
• Be an effective team player, communicator and be able to work with minimum supervision whilst producing high quality , accurate documentation. An eye for detail essential as is commercial awareness and ability to ensure agreements placed add value to the Asset.



• Min 5 years experience in oil and gas operations in a senior Contracts environment.  3 years experience preferred in drilling, well services and operations contracts.
• Relevant degree, (Law , QS, Business Service, MBA  )
• Firm negotiator with an excellent knowledge of  oil and gas contract T&C’s
• Highly effective interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written communication.
• Computer literate, office packages working knowledge essential.
